         Dhanteras Special Dhanteras  also known as Dhanatrayodashi  is the first day that marks the festival of Diwali in India. Dhanteras is celebrated on the thirteenth lunar day of Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in the Vikram Samvat Hindu calendar month of Karthik.
